校長的話 - 「讓我閃耀．Let Us Shine」，共迎新學年

親愛的家長和師生：

隨著新學年的到來，我們迎來了新的挑戰與機遇。今學年，石小以「讓我閃耀．Let Us Shine」為口號，這不僅代表着學生們在各方面的自我展現，更是石小教職員團隊共同努力，為每位學生打造一個閃耀未來的環境。在此，我殷切與大家分享學校的最新計劃及我們的願景，期待能在未來的一年中攜手共進，創造更美好的學習氛圍。

暑假工程的成果

今年暑假，石小進行了多項大大小小的工程，為同學們打造嶄新的學習環境。多元活動室煥然一新並增設了劍擊道，雨天操場添置了AI智能健身單車和學生學習展示區，圖書館也更換了全新的鋁窗，讓學生能在更具活力的環境中學習和活動，身心更健康地成長。此外，學校外牆全新髹油、禮堂更換冷氣、雨天操場講台添置校名、增設教師共備室及翻新會客室，這些改變不僅提升了校園的美觀度，更期盼師生能充分利用這些升級的設施，展現他們閃耀的潛能。

學術成就與策略

在學術方面，我們將繼續推動多元化的學與教模式，以提升學生的學習效能，讓每位學生在「讓我閃耀」的主題下，都能在學習中找到自信。根據過去一年的回饋，學生在英語及其他科目的表現均有顯著進步。在新學年，我們繼續透過4位外籍英語教師，推動協作教學，並持續優化「度身訂造．獨一無二」的各級英文學習進程，讓學生從走近校門開始，至課後和週六活動，均可在真實的語言環境中提高英語水平，讓他們在學習中閃耀出自信與能力，把握學童學好英語的黃金機會。

STREAM教育的推廣

於新年學，石小進一步加強STREAM教育（科學、技術、閱讀、工程、藝術及數學），以培養學生的創造力和解難能力。我們增設跨學科專題研習，讓學生在探索中學習，並靈活應用所學知識。我們也會繼續舉辦一系列校內外的STREAM活動，特別是加強校內氛圍為目標，讓學生在實踐中發現自己的興趣，並提升他們的成就感。不可不提的，就是現正加緊進行的「飛．航天地」和科探遊樂場工程，期待不久的將來便可供學生使用，有助閃耀出他們的才華。

品德教育和全方位活動的強化

國民和德育教育是石小核心的重要一環。新學年，我們將進一步提升學生對中華文化的認識，讓他們在學習中理解和尊重我國的歷史與文化。我們計劃舉辦以九美德中的「仁、禮、信、孝」為主題的校本活動，並設多元化的全方位活動。本學年，我們正籌備九美德音樂劇，一方面凝聚學生的民族歸屬感，培養他們正確的價值觀，另一方面讓學生展現所學的不同範疇技能，例如：歌唱、中樂、手鈴、粵劇、獅藝、武術、中普朗誦、英語劇、劇本創作、道具和佈景製作等，讓他們閃耀出對我國文化和自身能力的認同。

加強家校合作，共同成長

石小強調家校合作的重要性。新學年，我們將持續推動與家長的密切合作，透過各類型的親子活動，促進親子關係，讓家長能夠更深入地參與孩子的學習過程。此外，我們亦增設家長教育課程系列和家長義工嘉許計劃，讓家長和學校成為學生成長的堅實後盾，共同為孩子的未來燃亮明燈。

於新學年裏，我們定當持續努力，為每位學生提供最佳的學習環境和機會。在「讓我閃耀．Let Us Shine」這口號的引領下，讓我們攜手合作，共同開創孩子們的美好未來。祝大家新學年愉快、充實，期待在嶄新的校園中見證每位學生的成長與進步！

Dear Parents, Teachers & Students,

With the arrival of the new school year, we face new challenges and opportunities. This year, our school’s slogan is “Let Us Shine”, which not only encapsulates the self-expression of our students in various aspects but also reflects the collective efforts of our team to create a shining future for each student. I am eager to share the school’s latest plans and our vision with you, and I look forward to working together in the coming year to create an even better learning environment for our children.

 Achievements of Summer Projects 

This summer, our school undertook several projects, big and small, to create a brand-new learning environment for our students. The multifunctional activity room has been completely renovated and now features a fencing area. The covered playground has added AI smart exercise bicycles and a student learning display area. Brand-new aluminum windows have been installed in our library, allowing students to learn and engage in a more vibrant environment, promoting healthier physical and mental development. Additionally, the school’s exterior has been freshly painted, the school hall has new air conditioning, a school name has been added to the covered playground podium, a collaborative teaching preparation room has been established, and the multi-purpose meeting room has been renovated. These changes not only enhance the beauty of our campus but also encourage and empower students and teachers to fully utilise these upgraded facilities and showcase their shining potential.

 Academic Achievements and Strategies 

In terms of academics, we will continue to promote a diversified approach to teaching and learning to enhance students’ learning effectiveness, allowing each student to find confidence in their studies under the theme of “Let Us Shine”. According to feedback from the past school year, students have shown significant improvement in their performance in English and other subjects. In the new school year, we will continue to collaborate with 4 Native-speaking English Teachers (NETs) to promote cooperative teaching and continuously optimise the “Tailor-Made, Unique” English learning process at all levels. This approach enables students to improve their English proficiency in an authentic language environment from the moment they step onto the campus, during after-school programmes and weekend activities, allowing them to shine with confidence and ability as they seize the golden opportunity to learn English.

 Promotion of STREAM Education 

In the new school year, our school will further strengthen STREAM education (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) to cultivate students’ creativity and problem-solving skills. We plan to introduce cross-curricular project learning, allowing students to learn through exploration and flexibly apply their knowledge. We will also continue to organise a series of STREAM activities both inside and outside the school, with a particular focus on enhancing the school’s atmosphere, enabling students to discover their interests through practice and enhancing their sense of achievement. Notably, we are currently working on the “Fly, Space Room” and the Science Exploration Playground, which we anticipate will soon be available for students, helping them to showcase their talents.

 Strengthening Moral Education and Comprehensive Activities 

National and moral education is a crucial part of our school’s core values. In the new school year, we will further enhance students’ understanding of Chinese culture, allowing them to comprehend and respect our nation’s history and culture through their studies. We plan to host school-based activities centred around the virtues of “Benevolence, Propriety, Trustworthiness, and Filial Piety”, and to implement a diverse range of comprehensive activities. This year, we are preparing a musical based on the nine virtues, which will not only foster students’ sense of national identity and cultivate their correct values but also allow them to showcase their skills across different areas, such as singing, Chinese music, handbell performances, Cantonese opera, lion dancing, martial arts, Putonghua and Cantonese speech, English drama, scriptwriting, and prop and set design, allowing them to shine with recognition of their cultural heritage and personal abilities.

 Strengthening Home-School Cooperation for Joint Growth

Our school emphasises the importance of home-school cooperation. In the new school year, we will continue to promote close collaboration with parents through various parent-child activities to enhance family relationships, enabling parents to participate more deeply in their children’s learning processes. Additionally, we will introduce a series of parent education courses and a parent volunteer recognition programme, allowing parents and the school to become a solid support for students’ growth, lighting the way for their future. 

As we embark on this new school year, we will continue to strive to provide the best learning environment and opportunities for every student. Guided by the slogan “Let Us Shine”, let us work together to create a bright future for our children.
